So-called tort reformers want to “clean up” the civil justice system, eliminating big judgments and the economic burdens on companies that result from adverse lawsuits.
Before you get persuaded by their arguments—and before you vote for politicians who advocate tort reform—ask yourselves who will really bear the burden when corporations no longer feel liable for their products, or that there is a price to pay for irresponsibility.
